heartache only happens if you have an open heart

:/ I know… and I feel for people that never feel love, but at the same time is it really worth it if heartache is a thing that comes with it ?

@Armchaircouch It's important to protect your heart, I agree. However, the way I see it we are here to experience all that life has to offer, the good and the bad. That's a sign of a well lived life. And really, life itself comes with it's own heartache, and that is it to eventually ends. That is the one thing we cannot protect ourselves from.
Ik, yes, that’s true.
I just think at my age, a human being is not meant to go back-and-forth with a relationship related heartache, it takes a toll on the cardiovascular system. @Tacitus_Kilgore
@Armchaircouch I can relate. Without going into too much detail, I'm finding much of the heartache I've gone through lately is because I've allowed it. We often inflict as much heartache on ourselves as we receive from others.
