I really appreciate how he cuts right through to a. the facts about project 25 cutting VA benefits, and b. that he/Dems should use that as a pedestal to show what HE and Dems plan to do to HELP Vet’s.
No whining *only about how bad project 25 is, - but instead it’s what the fck they can and WILL do that’s actually BETTER.

#5: Do you really think *active* troops are going to want to put their lives on the line for you - or side with you in a power struggle - if you've been gutting veterans' benefits?
They won't - & in ambiguous situations or governmental leadership crises, what the troops want is often the deciding factor... regardless of whether you've put puppets at the top of the chain of command or not.
@Armchaircouch I mean *I* feel like that last point should be blindingly obvious, but what do I know, I've just done a lot of reading/analysis on the subject of how to hold power (and the associated history) for... uh... reasons.

You don't pick a fight with veterans. That's never, ever, ever a good idea.
#1 it's a really sh*tty, mean thing to do to people who deserve better;
#2 it looks incredibly bad;
#3 many people have a lot of respect for veterans, and rightly so;
#4 you'll piss off a group of people who were trained to wage war, & to press on no matter how tough the going gets.
