I kid brought a ferret to class once. it ran around. I pet it. My hand STUNNNKKKKK afterwards.

like. STUNK. I tried hand sanitizer to quelm it and that smell of sanitizer overpowered by ferret stink will never leave my brain. lol!

@Armchaircouch I had two. They were fixed pretty young so didn't get the major stink, and you get used to the musk smell.

The problem to manage though is poop. The poop was terrible!

@Armchaircouch Both. The better quality food seems to make the stinkiest poops. The poos are very squishy and the poor things don't have much time between "I think I need to poop" and "Must go now" so a mess is inevitable.

They have an instinct to back into a corner, but it's going to be the nearest corner and they might not make it to the litter box.

There's just so much of it too, at least it seemed that way. I can't remember my cage cleaning frequency but it wasn't enough.

oh no GOODNESS ๐Ÿ˜ญ
poor darlings!! theyโ€™re not cut out for that hooman life you know!
lmao ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ @sheseala

@Armchaircouch I cleaned enough so they weren't dirty, and I tried scooping the cage litter box a bunch, but it was not enough to keep that room from being stinky.

I honestly don't know how a friend of mine kept 4. They didn't tell me their secrets.

interestingโ€ฆindeed.
โ™ฅ๏ธ The things we put up with! I have cat litter. my girl always drops a bomb in the worst moments. lol! it tis what tit is. @sheseala
