For me, this is one of the most useless work weeks of the year. People take off. Can't easily get approval for things. Facilities tends to be short-staffed. For me, I just try to get through it and not break anything. It's not bad, just...slow.

Also, I'd really like for people to understand that while I love my job, I don't appreciate people thinking "right before a holiday" is the best time to tell me something hasn't been working. I can't fix something if I do not know it's an issue.

Bonus is when it's someone doing something that they have been told a number of times before to stop doing.

Don't come to me with "but I thought you would have fixed this." It's not broken, you're doing it wrong. The vendor isn't obligated to reengineer their product just for you.
