In Maryland, the liability is still with the vehicle operator. I would bet the argument that "operating in autonomous mode" still constitutes operation of the vehicle.

I didn't sign any arbitration clause. My insurance company will go sue and there's nothing they can demand otherwise.
@ArcturusSaDiablo That's under the current legislation. If the new administration loosens regulations or goes further and "blows up the system", who knows what the balance of power will be between Musk, the insurers, the courts and us.

Not state legislation. And the suit will be in-state. It won't hold. They'll fight, they'll lose. And I'm in a VERY blue state. They won't let feds come in and say otherwise.
