Call them immediately. Confirm directly from the source if you owe. Some may have fraud departments that will ask for this information, others will just say "delete and block".

This goes extra if the message comes in the middle of the night. I got woken up by one, and my brain couldn't process. Decided that 2AM was not the time for it. It's Saturday and it can wait until I've had my requisite sleep.
