Ever wonder why they stopped putting $ signs and pricing in the backgrounds of movies in the 90's?

Because, when you see that "dozen donuts for $1.99" sign in the film, the worker is still making about the same amount of money/hr. It's depressing and presents the cold hard facts that the nation is ill, inflation is real, and our labor devalued.

Film influences heavily the bottom half of IQ/Income & top of EQ.

Older gens were sold on trickle down economics but only piss fell to future gens.

@Appleseed Do you have a source for this? Be interested to read it.

@SaltyVeruca viewing experience of viewing and writing for film count? Thought my opinion would be considered an expert opinion as a source, I have not written up an editorial or stat study on a subject I see as an imperial factual trend.

@SaltyVeruca perhaps an idea to toss to a Ph.D candidate in film study, bit of a waste of time otherwise.

@Appleseed just curious to see the connection if anyone has cited it. Thanks.
