years ago, while i was in the military (not the greatest way to see the beauty of a country) i got to spend some time in Thailand. I wish I remember the name of the area we were in but it was probably Pattaya. I had the oppty to go out and see some of the area while we were there-it was gorgeous. The Thai ppl were incredibly welcoming, and the most friendly ppl I have ever encountered.

Men always greet very laid-back, maybe with a smile. The ladies REALLY throw it out there. It's so cute and funny. And it's not just for farang. It's all the time.

I love the weird differences. Like, traffic laws are voluntary (hah!) The obsession with fresh food, very fresh. Yet....I've never seen so many different kinds of cases meats(hot dogs) they took that idea and ran with it. And people love to joke. So much joking.
It's pretty alright there.
