I have to wonder, the day after Veteran's Day, hwo all the Generals, Colonels, Majors and all the ranks in between are going to feel about taking orders from a mere Captain?

That's the highest rank Hesgeth held. In the National Guard - although to be fair he was deployed multiple times.

But he's not a big picture guy. He a follow orders and implement the plans of higher ups guy.
