Good lord does no one know how to write a song ending anymore?

So many songs either fade out or just stop suddenly these days, usually right at about the pont it would become too long for Tik Tok.

It makes for terrible songwriting people. And it makes a lot of material all sound the same. Don't even get me started on all of you using the same DAW. I can hear that.

Tons of otherwise good music released this past week, but I'm noticing a pattern - even among the AI artists.

@MMH There are artists who have released multiple albums and it's all AI generated, or at least used as a launching point.

For example, BBBL:

@MMH And I should say for the record that I LIKE BBBL. I think they've done some interesting things with the source material. But they're an exception.

@Animeraider

A lot of what people use for in The Arts seems to be to avoid/bypass the actual artistic process—as though having to go through it yourself was like a problem to be solved. It's like artist cosplay, instead of artistry.

A little dehumanizing, IMO. Just my $.02

BTW, the great Ted Gioia has reported how AI artists are replacing live ones: Most of the top 100 Jazz "artists" on Spotify aren't real people.

"BBBL" has no live videos online...do we know they're real?
