Wow - I think I know where that is! (I'm out in the Avenues)

@jurban Dangerous place to drive 40mph, let alone 70.

People got lucky, I think.

@Animeraider @jurban

I was going to say that looks like a city street. Speed limit is 25 on NYC streets (including the boroughs). 70 would be murderous.

Isn't San Francisco hilly? It's one of the things I remember most about it. That, alcatraz, fisherman's wharf, and the virgin mega store that I always thought was in Berkeley, but was on market 😂

@Animeraider @jurban

Ahhhh, yes. But that's good city planning, imo. The less cars are facing each other, the better, bc they've been proving that they can't even figure out how to all drive in the same direction.

See exhibit 73,565 above lol

The pandemic kinda threw things for a loop though. Not where the accident took place, but a lot of streets have been turned into places where the pedestrians have the right-of-way, not cars, and the Great Highway out where I live is closed to cars on weekends.

Because of social distancing a number of resturaunts now have seating where parking places used to be.

I love this place. Been here 31 years and as long T doesn't become prez again I'm staying.

@Animeraider @jurban

I love when they turn streets into pedestrian areas. Especially on the smaller streets where the sidewalks are too narrow to accommodate the volume of people at times. We have a bunch this way, they're called open streets. Sometimes only on the weekends, sometimes permanently.

I can't imagine doing 70 through SF...bye bye skid plate, suspension, & muffler (not even taking the accident into account 🙃)

@ExecutiveFunction404 @Animeraider
Mr friend saw it airborne crossing Franklin, so that's the reason for a 70 mph estimate.
The fact that the 3rd card in the line was pushed 50 ft adds to the estimate.

@jurban @Animeraider

That's insanity. I'm sorry for the damaged cars, but hopefully no bystanders or passengers in the cars that were hit got hurt.

I'm no saint myself, but at least I reserve my speeding for highways and not at 2x the speed limit.
