Anyone want to test-drive a new Internet Radio Station? It's only a website and music so far - it's official launch will be in June and I'm fine-tuning it. There will be an app too.
New music and only new music. Rock, Pop, Metal, Indie, Alternative, R&B, even Jazz and some truly out there stuff. Artists with 50 followers next to artists with 50 Million. Unsigned and major label artists. Nothing more than 1 year old. Enjoy!
@Animeraider I'm listening now - sound quality is really nice, and I'm liking the songs I've heard so far. Can I ask what bit rate you're streaming at and what you're using for your playout software? I'm just using a basic winamp/shoutcast setup for my station, and since I'm using Live365 for licensing, I'm stuck at 128kbps.
@Bobk37 I'm broadcasting at 256kbps. The software is called Icecast but I'm actually having someone else manage it: citrus3.com in England. They take care of the licensing and royalties for me.
As someone who makes a small percentage of his living off of royalties, it matters to me that this part be done right.
@Animeraider I thought it sounded a little crisper than my 128kbps. I agree with you about the licensing - I'm using Live365 for mine.
@Animeraider I've got it bookmarked, thanks!
