Conquistadors had a hard time with Tainos because they liked to party more than working. My experience tells me that not much has changed in 500 years.
@floryloughead LOL. There is a long tradition of festivities in all Hispanic countries. Entre Santos y Virgenes la fiesta no para. Life is too short not to feast and dance as often as we can get away with it.

@AmaryllisLanza Long time ago, when I was still living in PR, we started in Sept with my birthday, had family parties every weekend till February. It was so much fun!
