🏡 My top housekeeping tip: Vinegar.
Need to disinfect? Vinegar.
Want squeaky clean glass? Vinegar.
Want to de-grease your kitchen hob? Vinegar+a few drops of dishwashing liquid.
Time to wash your dishwasher? Vinegar.
Need to cut hard-water calcium deposits? Vinegar
So, hubby was looking up weed killer for the patio tiles that wouldn't hurt the cats. I found it: Vinegar+salt+a wee bit of dishwashing liquid.
Vinegar™—environmentally friendly & cheap, keeping you tidy since forever.
@Armchaircouch That's brilliant. It does everything! The easiest way to clean the microwave is to put a small bowl of vinegar and water in there, let it run for a couple of minutes. Then a quick wipe down and ta-da! I honestly do all kinds of things with vinegar.
Oh nice must remember this one! ty! @AmaryllisLanza
@AmaryllisLanza Add vinegar and water into your laundry too - especially good on dirty smelly stuff like sports kit that was forgotten in bags (or my BILs smelly clothes as we sort out his house for him).
@AmaryllisLanza I used a gallon of vinegar in full bath tub to soak moldy clothes after a flood. About 10 tubs full of clothes. Only lost a few pieces due to some losing color.
@Heavymetalmotherindisguise That's wonderful. It really can do just about everything under the sun.
I also just saw on an eco-friendly page, vinegar… white vinegar or… maybe distilled white vinegar… Used in the laundry machine instead of fabric softener makes the clothes fluffier hence softer, and does not leave chemical buildup on the clothing or the machine that the dryer sheets do! @AmaryllisLanza
