I worked the election last Tuesday. My only prior election-worker experience was last spring's primary.
Several people with more experience than I (one was the Chief Election Judge who has been in the job since forever) commented that the lines are longer this time than usual.
We interpreted that as evidence of a higher-than-normal turnout.
Spoonamore makes the point that many cast votes were not counted due to software in the machines.
