I have a 23yo son who was adopted by my aunt when he was a baby (not by my choice, long story, not telling it here). He's known for a long time and wanted nothing to do with me. Well, now he does. It turns out my aunt passed away a few months ago. I wasn't expecting to ever hear from him, so I'm freaking out a little bit but also happy.

Similar events in my family, expect him to approach and pull back a few times. A 23 year old is not going to be close to his parents, even if he was raised by June and Ward Cleaver. After he's 25 it gets better.
