On Ancient Apocalypse they say there are less than 30 surviving wood tablets (or parts of) from Easter Island with a written language that no one's ever been able to decipher. Maybe there's just not enough text or they don't have the right people working on it. Where's Tatiana Proskouriakoff when you need her?

Nobody has deciphered the Indus Valley script, either. Lots of samples, but they're all very short.
