We’ve been to Cedar Key multiple times. There is only one road in and out. Those residents choosing to remain are nuts. I’ve watched these guys for about 30 minutes. They will be leaving soon. They’ve done this before and know what they’re doing. High tide at 11:30 they said.

They are at the Wharf now and near the old downtown

I can’t believe all the residents still there. Unreal!

This is Cedar Key at the Wharf and where the surge will be the worst. If it survives this, it will be a miracle for sure. We last visited in winter of 2023

So, the surge is only at about 5' currently with a couple more hours before high tide. The street that runs along the Wharf and at the Gulf is impassable. This isn't gonna end well at all. Near 20' surge predicted for this area.

Looks like the surge is now well past the Wharf and into the old downtown area. Dang. Power is out. Wind fierce.
