This is bizarre, did you guys hear about this? Six people sitting behind Trump on one side of the stage in Tucson came out with eye injuries. One woman still can't see.
Of course Trump supporters are claiming "We're under attack!" but I hope they're looking at other people who were sitting on that side of the stage.
@nonayadambidnes: I know from experience that old, fat drug addicts can launch some genuinely eye-watering SBDs. Maybe that's what they got for sitting behind one. That said, depending on the location of the lights rigging above the stage, it is possible that they got a light sprinkling of metal dust and plain dust coming down from the lights. (That happens sometimes at events and during theatre productions.)

The one willing to go on record said she was fine until she went outside.

I went to Tucson twice for work and got sick both times. The dust and wind there played havoc with my eyes.

If I had to guess, I would say an ultraviolet spotlight aimed over Trump's head at that side of the stage. I don't know whether that's something that is normally used in a theater, but there have been instances where the wrong type of blacklight was used at a public event. It could be very localized in the right light fixture.
@AlphaCentauri @Agatha @thedisasterautist Oh that is really interesting.
