It sure would be nice if people who complained about tags would notice that most of us who post about sports use the name of the sport, the team name and/or #cososports in our posts.

Tags are so people can find your post. There's no need for a hashtag for people to avoid a post if you mention the word they want to filter.
@AlphaCentauri Apparently I have been chastised that I don't tag my posts.
