Thinking of the SAG-AFTRA strike -- over and over, unions striking to keep their jobs from being replace by machines ultimately lose, as non-union companies out-compete their employers. I think in this case, no matter what contract they get, they will need copyright law amended to pay people whose work was incorporated in the AI engines that are replacing them in creating new work.
@AlphaCentauri 'Indie' movie producers are not true competition for Hollywood. And if you listen to the actors/writers discussions, you'll find they are saying this is something that could affect everyone.
If your point is merely that robots are the true threat to jobs, not immigrants, ITA. And yes, we need to pass laws.
@AlphaCentauri better data privacy laws are needed. A persons likeness needs to be protected from being used to stop creation of deep fakes
