@AlphaCentauri basically, what that means is someone else could buy a Twitter blue check in the name of a journalist and then push all sorts of bullfeathers and nonsense. That, combined with wanting to monetize video which will maybe/likely introduce pr0n onto the platform, YUCK.

He doesn't understand how much money it takes to fund a staff to enforce terms of service without some of the compromises J has made here, like entirely blocking China and Russia, where bots are tolerated and state-sponsored media manipulation can overwhelm a website that permits users to post comments.
If he allows things to run amok, legit organizations will drop Twitter like they dropped Kanye. They don't need Gab or Parler, and they won't need Twitter if it goes that way.
