Keeping it secret creates more buzz as people try to figure out the puzzle. There are idiot men telling compliant women to be submissive to their husband in churches all over the country every Sunday. It takes real idiocy to spend that much money, and I can't imagine they're having an easy time selling it without people even knowing where they'd have to show up before they pay.
