today was particularly bad for my anxiety level. on top of all the awful news, both at home & abroad, my dem house rep, antonio delgado, is resigning to be ny lt gov. i live in extremely blue spot in a purple-blue district (periwinkle?). i think w was last gqp who won district in prez election. the republican who is running is a well known guy who was elected mayor of area village when he was 18 & re-elected 5x. he’s been in county legislature, state assembly & is now dutchess cty exec.
delgado would probably have won against molinaro-that’s the guy’s name-because he’s been very effective for the district & is well liked by farmers & city folk in the district. tish james did the right thing for nys by dropping out of gov race & staying state ag for the good of the people who elected her. i wish delgado had made the same decision. oh, and our district design is currently undecided. but it feels like spring today, so…lilacs about bloom on left; forsythia almost over on right.
