today was particularly bad for my anxiety level. on top of all the awful news, both at home & abroad, my dem house rep, antonio delgado, is resigning to be ny lt gov. i live in extremely blue spot in a purple-blue district (periwinkle?). i think w was last gqp who won district in prez election. the republican who is running is a well known guy who was elected mayor of area village when he was 18 & re-elected 5x. he’s been in county legislature, state assembly & is now dutchess cty exec.
@barbaraedelman Hochul is such a self serving, corrupt, craven jackhole. She doesn't care that this could possibly put the US House at risk, losing a swing precinct, she just wants to keep her power. It will make her disgraced resignation and indictment bittersweet, because you know it's coming
