I miss when the internet didn’t rob is of the ability to fully leverage the benefit of the doubt. To say “I don’t like your opinion but I believe you’re probably not a bad person and with enough sane conversation, time and pauses to consider the other person we may not agree, but we can come to live with our differences.“ That isn’t to demean an individual’s feelings, but how we process as a society.
