What are you constantly thinking about? Is it beneficial for you and others or is it just for yourself? Does the thought give you energy and strength or does it stress you and cause you to worry? #Thoughtoftheday
@Patti1120 does give or take away your energy? Stress can be good if it is motivating you. If it is demoralizing you that's bad.
@AC_is_CLK this is where I’m stuck. On one hand I think it is motivating me…but on the other l…..I think the demoralizing aspect is gaining traction which is frustrating me. Trying to gain control and move back to motivating… it…it’s a struggle.
@Patti1120 First know that you are not alone many others myself included at one point feel exactly like this. When the stress becomes demoralizing is it really the stress or is it how you are feeling about it? Try this experiment when you are feeling bad about the stress examine your thoughts. In many cases the trigger is usually a self-inflicted insult or a comparison. So try to not insult yourself or compare yourself to another for as long as you can. Written reminders help. 1/2
@Patti1120 2/2 If you find that you can't go very long without doing either one the problem lays with your thoughts. So it will take time and patience to relearn that you don't need to do that to yourself. Change the "you're stupid/dumb/inferior etc" thoughts into "you're better than this" and "you're getting better at this" thoughts. And the "why am I not like other person" to "There is no one else like me therefore I am priceless" Try this and feel the difference.
@AC_is_CLK I have this tattooed because I was born with none and have to remind myself each and every day..lol. Thank you for all of this…I truly will do some of these exercises as I think it will help. I always say “positive thoughts bring positive results”. Just sometimes it gets the better of me ✌️ 🙏🏻🙃
@AC_is_CLK stress but doesn’t cause me to worry
