So this is a general throwing this-out-there type query, though it relates to some specific stuff to me personally.
If you've known a person for some time, say years, but mostly just via internet - emails, messaging etc, and you seem to get on well, how do you view it? Like, do you keep some emotional distance until you meet? Do you go along with the gut feeling you get with the internet contact?
How's it work? How did your net-only impression work out if you met?
@66ALW99 lol ... we discovered we lived 3000+ miles apart and despite the obvious attraction it was unworkable. On the other hand, I gained an amazing internet fren.
@Zevon If you don't mind my asking, was there a point where either/both of you made a decision that things would stay online-only and ruled out ever meeting in-person, or was it more that you realised the chances of in-person meeting were somewhat slim and tailored expectations accordingly? O something different?
Sorry, I know this is personal af. I see you have a pro account, so feel free to DM if you're cool with chatting about it and I totally understand if you don't fancy it!, I won't push!
@66ALW99 :)
