Been thinking about getting a tattoo (midlife crisis, remember?) but it has to be something meaningful to me and something I know I wouldn't regret later.
Think I've found the perfect thing - the blues scale, on my left inner forearm. Practical and useful!

@66ALW99 I'm pretty covered in tattoos, I'm sleeved from my knuckles to my elbows, and have work on my upper arms as well.
I'm slowly working toward a full mural.
I have found it to be a deeply meaningful practice. If the scale resonates with you, then I'd say embrace it. It will always be something you can carry with you.
Basically something like this, but without the words. And I'd probably change colours and stuff around a bit
