Thinking about time signatures in music, so I've got a request.

Can you post music stuff you like that uses a NON-4/4 signature, but also say why you think it works?

@66ALW99 3/4. I've always liked how it fits around the riff and feels loose sometimes but still drives the song.

@JLong in in the UK, it looks like that one's region-restricted 😐

What's the artist/song? I'll hunt it down

@66ALW99 That's wild, i didn't know that was a thing. The song is Burning Beard by Clutch. Drummer is Jean-Paul Gaster.

@JLong Nice one, thank you - only heard about Clutch fairly recently (Electric Worry put them on my radar), I'm definitely liking what I've heard from them! 😊

@GeekMom727 @AlphaCentauri "because David Gilmour" is really all that needs to be said sometimes, isn't it? 😁

@66ALW99 Lateralus by Tool is kick ass--it mixes 9/8, 8/8/ and 7/8. '987' was the original title for the song, because of the correlation between the time signatures and 987 as the 16th number of the Fibonacci sequence, directly supporting the song asking humans to find a deeper understanding of the world.

Of course, Rosetta Stoned is awesome too. Oh, and Schism, and Forty-Six and 2, and....🀣
