Just a quick reminder that CoSo is free. Yes, there are some paywalled features. Some of these were put behind a paywall to deter trolls. Others are value-adds.
But to put it in perspective, there are enough users here that pay willingly. Not because of the features, but because of the belief in this community. We want to see the community thrive, not because we want to have exclusive shinies.
Contrast that to another site considering adding a paywall for just an icon next to your name.

I paid for pro pretty much immediately. I've not been a regular user for a while but still kept that payment up as a support for the ethos and community. It's what the internet should be imho
And now I'm back and it's still thriving and I'm very pleased :)

Fascism costs a lot more than 4.99. I will gladly support those who do what twitter and other platforms should have done years ago.

This is absolutely correct. I subbed Pro a few days after I came to CoSo earlier in the year. I don't use even a 1/4 of what the site offers. I believe in supporting developers when I feel they've put together an amazing product.
With that said, I really should look into using more of the sites features.
@0x56 I guess the DM feature is one of those that were abused by trolls. Very very good to put it behind a paywall, to keep CoSo a friendly and welcoming place.
