@zoidette I can do it - what type of file are they?
@zoidette So I have no formal art training or animation schooling. This is one of my very first. Only using the software for about a day.
@zoidette I drew everything, animated it and voiced and lip synced it =)
@MrGoat Nice!
@MrGoat obrigado!
@MrGoat Me neither! Nothing wrong with that.
I couldn't have made it very far without the help of the open source community, by the time I was working in Director & Flash. Not saying I was super savvy, but I managed to earn a living doing it! Too bad I've lost that work, as well as all the video production work I had done ( 1" videotape > Final Cut).
@zoidette I mean you can always pick it back up and try some stuff with the newer software. Pretty easy if you ask me. Hard part is putting in the time and making quality stuffs
@MrGoat yeah, but when I'm not between jobs they work me pretty hard, big box PE companies. Swore I'd never go back to 'em but the money's just too damn good, and after the wreck, I really need da cheese.
@MrGoat in another week I won't even have time to hang out here really. But I would be going crazy right now without it, for sure.
@MrGoat uh, make that 20 years.
@MrGoat I'm a DOS baby. autoexec.bat config.sys was so much easier, it's all gotten way over my head these days.
It's hard to imagine now, but I was running auto desk studio on a gateway 486 with 640 MB hard drive and 8mg ram. Intake all weekend to render a 10-second animation if there was any texture in it. Those were the days though because we were charging for render time, too.
I work in healthcare now. Who knew it would be more brutal than corporate training and advertising ๐คฎ
