My father has had many falls in the last few years, in no small part because of wonky blood pressure and a few TIAs. Tonight he managed to fracture his femur near his replaced hip, so he's in the ER. I just sent an email to my mom suggesting they look into at-home care or a visiting aide,, and I'm waiting for a reply why that won't be a good idea.

If I'm still around in 20 years, and if any of you know me then, slap me upside the head with this post. I'll probably need it.

@stephen_a_allen Understood. But you are doing the right thing. Speaking from experience.

@zacnewman I know. My father's younger sister, who is a head RN in a nursing home, has been saying the same thing for years. Thank for the support.
