@peeppeepcircus We have to go #grassroots to effect #ClimateChangeAction! If the government isn't going to make it a priority, we the people need to make it a priority. That means putting our money where our mouth is!
Need a new car? Buy a hybrid or EV.
Live in town & have to work? Walk, bike, or ride share.
Like to eat? Grow some of your own food.
Need electricity/energy? Look into solar panels, a solar water heater, or a wind turbine.
Need internet? Cancel Starlink & get new ISP.
We should know by now that there is no cavalry. We are the #climatechange cavalry,

@peeppeepcircus @SandHillThicket The IRA that Biden passed is fairly significant. Those rebates are real money that incentivize people to do the things needed to mitigate their carbon footprint. Last year I upgraded my insulation, put up solar, upgraded my electrical service and installed a geothermal heating and cooling system. The feds payed for 30% of all of that thanks to the IRA. If you care about the environment, the single biggest way you can help is to assist democrats to get elected.
@wyrmeboi Definitely, but we still need people to pull the trigger on using the rebates and tax credits! We had our #SolarArray, battery backup, a new heat pump, and ventilator installed in 2021 and it was a significant investment, even with the tax credits. Same thing when we bought a hybrid last year - had to stay the course and wait 9 months for delivery. People have to be committed to taking advantage of these opportunities!
