It's only day 6 of Inktober and I'm already drawing tentacles. It would have happened eventually even if there hadn't been a prompt. It's always a soothing art experience for me.

Okay... there's not giving up, and there's holding on too long. I'm going to have to restart my brine shrimp tank. I'm seeing no babies, and dying algae is increasingly making water gross. New eggs and tank salt mix are on the way to me. I need to clean the tank before I start again.

Inktober, day 5. A jack rabbit is intimidating. Once you see those antlers, though, you do not want a cranky jackalope chasing you!

Inktober, day 4. Halloween is an easy time for blending in with human kids. Human adults just assume the whole look is costume.

The night isn't over and I've already been given a skein of yarn to knit a bigger pumpkin to sit on the kitchen table.

Day 3 for Inktober. Today I'm drawing a fantasy grimoire...and adding a little watercolor for splashes of magic.

Inktober, day 2. I had a different minotaur in mind, but when we hear the call of a Muse...Black Angus Young!

The horns are fake and attached to the hat because Black Angus don't have horns.

I'm doing a drawing each day for Inktober, but not following the official prompts. This is Jack. Jack's a little disappointed that I don't draw skeletons correctly. On the plus side, the hat makes them feel fabulous!

Since I'm doing craft foam pumpkins this year, sister-in-law asked if I could do a Pride pumpkin. I found some rainbow color changing LED tea lights. Yes, I can do a Pride pumpkin!

Came across a screenshot of a knitting pattern. No title, no photo...just the pattern. It's only 16 stitches across, so I'm tempted to knit a sample just to find out what it looks like.

Since everyone in the house hates having to get rid of a pumpkin I carve, we're starting something different this year. I'll carve foam pumpkins and we'll add to the decorations each year since we can keep them.

My new cane is here! Made from wood from home. A piece of home in my hand, supporting me.

And one of the cats has a new box to play in. I promised him I would tell his brothers the box belongs to him.

The state of Missouri is still set to execute Marcellus Williams at 6pm this evening. DNA evidence shows he's innocent. The victim's family does not support the execution. The Prosecuting Attorney's office has admitted his rights were violated and has tried to stop the execution. Christian, Muslim, and Jewish faith leaders across the state have opposed this.

Missouri State Supreme Court and Gov Parson keep ignoring all of this and moving ahead.

This is not justice.

I'm getting used to the bifocals. Still not at the point of being able to completely ignore the line yet. Oh, but knitting while watching tv is so much easier without having to keep moving my glasses!
