Inktober, day 19. I'm getting better at letting my spiderweb drawings be more organic, less human planning. Spiderwebs enchant me.

Inktober, day 18. The prompt is "magic potion". This might be my favorite that I've done so far. I decided to do watercolor so that it would be made from a magic potion.

I'm getting black walnut! It's one of my favorite woods to work with for carving! My sister-in-law works with someone who has a tree, and they told her they'll get some branches together and give them to her for me.

Shai-Hulud wiggled off into his cave when I pulled out the camera earlier today, but he's allowing a picture tonight.

Inktober, day 17. Y'all, the "monster under the bed" is probably just a kitty. Let's be reasonable about this.

Inktober, day 16. Currently rehersing in my mind explaining to family members that I am not obligated to like what I drew just because they do. This raven has issues. I don't usually draw birds. But I'm committed to doing the drawings every day, not just the ones I'm good at.

Inktober, day 15 - That Weird Color. I'm not saying I like it, but I definitely think I was successful with "weird".

They put together a memorial video for bear 402. You know...in case anybody wants to cry with me.

This always happens...I start making things and don't want to stop! 😄 The fire of creativity just keeps going!

It was just going to be Inktober. Then we added carving craft foam pumpkins. Then I knitted a pumpkin. Then I started a bigger knit pumpkin. Then I knitted a tiny whale. Now I'm looking at getting back to my plans to make a dorodango (Japanese art of a polished mud ball).

And it'll be time to start making gifts soon!

Inktober, day 13. Hydra. More Lernaean, less Lovecraftian, totally a danger noodle.

We finished searching. The seashell is gone. I realized the night I cleaned the tank was three nights before we restarted it...and the garbage did go out within that time.

I picked that shell up on the beach when I was in high school. It was soothing to hold. I'll never hold it again.

Took a rest from searching for the seashell. Hopefully have narrowed things down enough to find it tomorrow. Calmed myself by knitting a tiny whale. Will take pictures tomorrow.

I might have accidentally thrown a seashell away. But the garbage hasn't been taken out yet. I have to sort through three days of garbage to find it. I've had it for 20+ years. It came from home. I have to find this seashell.

Inktober, day 12. Ghost ship. This has led to conversations about ship design and construction that included the phrase "no shade to the searfaring community, BUT..."

My Inktober prompt today is "ghost ship", so I start looking things up and come across the HMS Eurydice.

Really? REALLY?!

Who thought that was a good idea? They condemned the ship when they named her!

It's been an exhausting day, so I went really simple with my Inktober drawing. I'm betting the fictional person who has slime pouring out of their air vent is having an exhausting day, too.
