Letting my autistic self info dump about one of my joys! I'm showing a few of my favorite playing card decks this week, including the Arcana tarot/playing card hybrid deck.

It is been a very busy week. Satisfying! The kind of busy that makes me go, "Woo hoo! Progress and achievement!" I could really use some relaxation before that takes an unpleasant turn, though.

I'm overthinking my writing again.

But at least I recognize that's what's happening this time!

This is a reminder that April is Procrastination Awareness Month.

Charm oracle divination explanations are mostly finished. There's a little more giving ideas about how to do readings to be done, but it's mostly checking in for encouragment.

Reading playing cards is being introduced by going over how I interpret the suits. Eventually, everything that gets explained about numbers will look really familiar when we get to dice.

Working on learning ogham. Like, I'm at the starter level. Still learning to identify them. I pull out three today and cannot help but think Willow Hazel Blackthorn should be a character name. That's how the learning is going!

Mother's Day is very uncomfortable for me. I spent time cleaning a shrine and other devotional duties, finding healing in giving the day to my mothers who are not human and my ancestral mothers.

If the day is hard for you - if it's wrapped in grief, trauma, other painful things - please know that you are loved. It may not be the love you wanted, but I promise you are loved.

Got the cabinet put together! Got the couch moved! Gonna go lay down! 👍

Things I have done today:

Held a snake
Killed a wasp
Named a cow
Yelled at the pieces of a storage cabinet that refuses to put itself together

I used to be good at putting furniture together. I was the person to call because I'd be happy to do it, do it quickly, and do it well!

I don't know what happened. I just really wish the stuff we've recently bought would put itself together. I'm sure I'll cry again before this is finished.

A sand boa is a...

1. Danger noodle

2. Spooky noodle

3. Blessed Child of the Lake Monster

I somehow twisted stitches in a really confusing way. Ended up having to just pull it all out and start over. No clue how I did it! If a pattern had actually called for that, I would have spent hours looking up every tutorial.

@Alfred What is your favorite fact about bears?

Storm moving in and my hands won't knit. The thing I've been telling myself all day that "it's fine because I'll do this tonight".

But my sister-in-law could tell I was having a rough day and showed up on my porch with homemade brownies and a hug. 🥰

The day started with good plans and solid intentions...and then each little thing got harder and harder.

I want to go home.
I am at home.

My new friend is home! This is Lady. He is a Kenyan sand boa.

With my youthful obsession with Star Trek coming back into bloom, I've changed my mind about wanting to work in Engineering. Yes, the warp core is beautiful. It is the heart of a ship. But, y'all...Cetacean Ops! I don't even care if the dolphins and whales outrank me!
