I just updated my #NaNoWriMo word count at 2,064 words! Time to take a break and go move around.

Good luck to everybody doing #NaNoWriMo ! We don't have to write well. We just have to write. What's usable can be sorted out and dressed up later.

@talisigirl I think people are still get settled in, but @Popehat is here, and so is @AngryBlackLady .

@RandomWriter I've been here for a few days now and love the lack of fighting. I can risk being wrong about a detail. Don't have to talk around something to avoid attracting the wrong attention. Just...real conversations.

@Darla We take steps to keep the wild ones out here from getting too close, but I admit I kind of like hearing them at night. We live at a crossroads at the edge of a small rural town. The coyotes and occasional owl remind me how beautiful wild energy can be.

No spooky sounds outside. (Not until the coyotes come out later.) Nothing weird happening.

And I still feel like everything is standing in an open doorway. Not what it was anymore, and not yet what it will be...some odd hybrid of those things. I've been feeling this for several days now. Like the air is full of potential.

@Oma_Trisha My husband and I live with his sister and her wife, their son, and my mother-in-law. It's a big place with plenty of room for each of us. Still...some days, it's just the drain of interaction. There are solid reasons we'll never have "our own place" again. I miss those days, though. Having mental space needs just means you're a person, not a bad one.

So we all keep mentioning the bird app, but what about another bird app? Anybody else hear using the Finch app for daily lists and such?

@kayhurricane So glad to hear somebody else does that with tarot cards, too!

@ruffboi I decided explaining too much too early is just...too much. So I covered what was necessary without jumping ahead to things I know I'm going more in-depth with later.

Haven't done #NaNoWriMo for a few years, but I've decided doing it this year might give me a boost on my stories!

No idea what happened to my old NaNoWriMo account. I did it for, like, six years I think. But okay! Fresh starts can be good.

@KellyCarlin It's my favorite witch hat! Comfortable, and the point doesn't get caught on everything.

I had plans for yard decorations, but things happened and plans didn't. A view from the back of our property seems to go with the day, though. I never had Halloweens that actually looked like autumn until I moved to a different part of the US.

@ReginaZilinski I put her by East-facing windows since I don't have South-facing windows. And I water her once a week when she's indoors. Just put her in the shower and let her get rained on. Watering too often would result in root rot.

#GrowAllTheThings Here's another of my #PlantBuddies ! 🌱💚 Lantana and I go way back and I will not hear any mean things said about her. But they grew in the ground where I'm from. Has to be in a planter where I live now. Butterflies have been stopping to feed as they head south for winter, and lantana will come indoors for a while when it gets colder.

@NurseNinaPa I've only been here a couple of days, but I see plenty of politics discussion. The social environment is different here, though, and maybe some people were asked to not bring some bird app behaviors over, like "RT if this enrages you!!!"
