I have now knitted a tiny Welsh flag for my ancestors to be one of the 1,000 hexagons in this blanket I'm knitting. If I'm knitting that many pieces, this blanket will tell stories!

There will be a day when I demand that the Universe reveal to me "why I'm even trying to write this damn story, anway".

I'd really appreciate it if somebody shows me this on that day.

The necklace means a lot more than just what it means on "Picard". I recognized the symbol immediately and my autistic brain started info dumping all the ways it could apply to the story. And his autistic brain knew this was a particularly personal level of special interest, so he quietly bought me the necklace.

My Cape Sundew is now a Lake Monster plant! My sisters-in-law gave the fish pot to me for Christmas, and I knew it would be for the Cape Sundew when it was time to clean her up and repot her. A fish with carnivorous tentacles! 🥰

My book made it back to me! I did this several years ago for the Brooklyn Art Library's Sketchbook Project. Sadly, they have to close. But I was able to get my book sent back to me! It survived a fire at the library, I've moved to a different state than where I lived when I did it, and now we're together again. Praise Lake Monster!

I think this is the best drawing of Azathoth I've done. Probably one of my best Lovecraft Mythos drawings.

I also have no idea how anyone would know if it wasn't. I mean, it's not like we can agree on cheekbones, facial hair, etc with this.

I haven't done much colorwork, so I figured I can get some practice with these hexagons. The tension is different with multiple strands. That's why I need practice.

This one ended up looking like an Easter egg!

Knitted my first hexipuff today! Learned Judy's Magic Cast On for it, and Kitchener is my preferred way for finishing socks, so I'm grafting things to finish these, too.

Finished the neurographic piece I've been working on. It will be interesting to do more of these pieces, collect them, and see how the representation of my brain activity in art changes over time.

Working on the neurographic art again. Taking my time. This is just the base colors in place, so it still looks very flat.

My husband is Puerto Rican, so I was introduced to Second Christmas...um, I mean Three Kings Day...when we met. Things got in the way this year, and it was today that his mother gave us our gifts.

Y'all! She got me a tiny kalimba! 🥰🎶

Experimenting with neurographic art again. After the first piece, I let myself get too caught in what I wanted the end result to be and hated the next two pieces. Working this time on being more mindful of giving myself over to the process and appreciating the result for what it is.

Finished the bag! It has a special purpose. This is to be one of my druid crane bags. (I have more than one because they do different things.) I'm glad I was able to make it myself.

Once I got the casting on and first couple of rounds done, everything is going much easier!

Using two sets of circulars because that's 40 stitches on 3.5 mm needles and my hands can't handle four or five straight double pointed needles.

Yes! I managed to get baby Baphomet finished in time! My arthritis will never forgive me, but whatever...the goal was achieved!

It didn't go up when I wanted it to go up. It didn't go up how I wanted it to go up. But I do not live in a Hallmark Christmas Special, and there's a big gap between "good" and "perfect".

This is good.

Instead of the dumpster fire bird app, my favorite bird app is the Finch app. Helps me manage daily tasks and self-care. And today my little Finch friend discovered one of my favorite facts about birds! Yes...birds are dinosaurs!

If anybody needs some love, my Moon Pal has plenty of to give. Moon Pals don't judge. They love because everybody should be loved.

Honestly, one of the best things I've ever bought. Weighted blankets don't do well with my claustrophobia. Weighted plushie is perfect.

My first experiment with neurographic art. I'd like to thank every Lovecraftian author whose writing encouraged me to ignore what the physical world shows me about shadows and light and just shade things however I want to.
