Shai-Hulud is feeling social today. Resting with his head out isn't as rare as it used to be, but still pretty uncommon. He flicks his tongue at me if I sit and talk to him.

I have knitted 81 hexagons this year for getting started on my blanket. I'm trying not to think too much about how many need to be done (400+). Number 82 is on my needles.

Everything is icy blue and white with sprinkles of holly and mistletoe. I'm still going with colors of The Harvest.

And still saying "The Harvest" like it's some cryptic thing that makes you want to get away before The Festivities start.

Feelin' fancy today! It's been a little bit of a rough day, so feeling the "feathers" on the peacock pin move when my head moves brings some cheer.

My sister-in-law enjoys reading gay male romance novels, so I knitted a bookmark for her (with a little added crochet). Marking this as sensitive because the shape is a body part one might think of as appropriate to gay male romance.

This is Warner. Warner is my polka dot plant. Warner can't read calendars. Warner decided "almost November" means "time to make a flower".

Tiny sweater knitting continues. Everyone in the house is getting a sweater for Christmas this year. I'll make tiny boxes and fold them up like full size sweaters, place them in their boxes, and wrap them.

My girl caught a bug! 🌱💚 She's a Cape Sundew. If you're considering raising plants instead of children, keep in mind that Cape Sundew is easy to care for and you can be proud when they eat bugs.

I have successfully knitted my first sweater! Same techniques as one a human would wear, just a lot fewer stitches.

Our little friends in the nest near the front door. One of them was getting flying lessons today! They flew back and forth with Mom and Dad, a little slower and staying lower while the parents delivered insects to the ones in the nest. We've seen four young birds sticking their open beaks out to get beetles and grasshoppers delivered.

I 🪕 HAVE 🪕 A 🪕 BANJO 🪕! 🎶

And a low fever, which made learning how to put on a floating bridge interesting, but...

🪕BANJO🪕

I think I've found out who keeps knocking over one of the potted plants in my yard.

Yes! My drum is here! I'm going to make the whole town wish I never moved here!

They don't complain about the ukulele in the middle of the night, but the sound seriously carries with this drum.

Really...I just needed some water.

To be fair, it turned out the family member I was messaging wasn't awake.

Husband wanted to experience nail painting. Okay, I can do that!

Y'all...

He has the nails I always wanted! Wide, long nail beds that make just a little growth look longer. Cuticles push back so easily! Nails are so smooth the polish goes so easy!

I went outside to fill the bird feeder and cry because Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors" was playing and it's been THAT week, and... Tiny tomatoes developing on my plant! 💚

I said I was going to have a Mustang someday. Said it ever since I was a little kid. Finally made it to a point in life where a modern one is not completely unaffordable. But now I can't drive because of the seizures.

Fine. I said I would have one. It doesn't have to be one I can drive. I now have the 1960's classic black Mustang I really wanted!

My new friend is home! This is Lady. He is a Kenyan sand boa.
