Put water in the pan. The fat renders better, cooking it more evenly.

The bonus this morning is that I didn’t clean the cast iron pan last night, so it was lined with steak fat.

Just discovered that glass cleaner is great for cleaning whiteboards.

This whiteboard I’ve had for years with baked on marker is now spotless.

@beer With GABS, there's the festival beers (brewed especially for for the fest, around 120). These are poured by festival staff from big tap lines. Then breweries will have their own stands, where sometimes the headbrewer is there, but mostly it's brewery staff. Some stands will also be pouring their festival beer, so there's the opportunity to discuss it.

@beer no, but that's a unique approach. For a smaller event I could see this working, but a larger one, I don't think it's feasible.

In 2 weeks we have GABS, the big beer fest down here in Aus, and its a mix. Some stalls the brewer is there, but all the "brewed for GABS" beers are poured by random festival staff at the big line of taps.
