THE TRADITION FROM HELL: (LOL) Don’t do this to yourselves, people!!!
Years ago, when our daughters were young, each Christmas we’d surprise them with a Department 56 Christmas village house. For one daughter, we collected houses from Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” For the other, we got the North Pole Village.
Now they live in small(ish) apartments in Chicago & LA — and we have all the boxes & friggin’ houses!! 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve learned: Store the empty boxes, & keep the houses in empty dresser drawers — we use an empty dresser in one of our guest rooms. That way, if we ever want to display any of them (people do like them) we can just easily pull them out of the drawers!
OMG, though, what a pain!! I hope I’ve reached you in time!! Do NOT — i repeat — do NOT collect Department 56 houses! 🤣🤣🤣
