CounterSocial is an accepting, inclusive, and good-natured community, and it has remained that way with few exceptions for almost seven years.

Each of us has a responsibility to keep it that way. Here are some handy to consider:

1. Think about what you're posting and why. Does it contribute? Or does it divide?

2. Use the tools. Some people are simply disagreeable. Make them disappear.

3. Let it scroll on by. You can't control what others post. You can only control how you react.

Wow, I've seen some ridiculous audiophile snake-oil cable setups, but this one takes the cake.

Oh, and they are using cable lifters. 🤣

@phase2
Today in: when covers are superior to the original song...

@northernbassist
10 bucks says this person hooked the TT up to a line-level input on the preamp rather than the phono input.

Or the Linn may have a MC cartridge mounted, and the phono stage may only have enough juice to amp a MM cartridge.

I'm currently doing prep work on the candidates I'll be interviewing tomorrow morning. This is for a vocal music teaching vacancy in my school district.

I remember when I was in undergrad, our professors worked with us closely on how to make informative and coherent resumes.

It seems that some colleges no longer prioritize this.🤦

@Render
This jumped out at me:

"In almost every abandoned house he had found an Arabic copy of Mein Kampf, common as dictionaries."

From what I can find, this happened in two instances; not as often as the above article claims. Still disgusting, though.

This is CGI. The water is perfectly uniform, all of the flags are waving at the exact same rate and angle, everything is clean, etc.

@northernbassist
I love that term! So you basically got monoblock preamps and amps in the same chassis. If only these had balanced I/O, you could effectively banish any sort of crosstalk.

@Reincarnation_4 @phase2
Interesting; I have the opposite reaction. The wavy lines are the only thing I don't love about this. I really like how the main triangle piece looks like a pendant hanging from a chain. I think you could just do that on a black background or with the starfield behind it.

There's some damn fine people here. That is all. I salute you.

@JolieSaboteuse
I saw that news about YouTube, and I thought they had been doing that already by pushing ads from the video streaming servers, which is why DNS-based ad blocking no longer works.

I do remember Photobucket, but not how they tried to break the internet. Elaborate?

@thewebrecluse
I just posted this the other day, but I hope anyone who didn't watch it yet takes a look. Pretty incredible, especially that she's calmaced in the third!

@Helical_Code
I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. He sounds like he was a fantastic person. Hugs for you today.
