Call it a sub, hoagie, grinder, whatever.

Subway makes the absolute worst version of that kind of sandwich. The bread is just terrible and it doesn't get better from there.

I made sushi for lunch today. So glad I didn't go to Subway.

I literally just started last week. So far I've only done vegetable rolls and California rolls. Tomorrow afternoon I hope to hit the fish market so I can make some proper nigiri.

There are a few items I learned quite quickly are pretty essential, and fortunately I found cheap but decent quality versions of them. Rice cooker, hangiri bowl, yanagiba knife, etc. I also had a friend who recently got into sushi making and they were able to recommend good rice and nori sheets.
