It's a very powerful firmware with deep features, some of which I don't fully understand. Fortunately the forums are very helpful with setup. Hit me up if you decide to take the plunge. I've been using it since the old Linksys WRT54G.

I do wonder if you're having overheating issues, though. That could explain what you're experiencing.
