Most people probably know Baba Yetu by Christopher Tin, used as the theme for the Civilization game series. Well, you haven't heard it like this.

Here is an amazing a cappella arrangement written by André van der Merwe, and performed by the Stellenbosch University Choir.

@voltronic , my hometown high-school choir has an open call to the community to join their performance of this piece. I considered joining as an alto/contralto, but can't commit to the week of rehearsals 170 ish miles away right now.

@LadyZurk
I assume you mean the original version, not this a cappella arrangement?

Sorry that it's so far away for you. Do you have any community choir opportunities close to you?

@voltronic , I didn't look into the specs, as far as the arrangement. (I haven't lived there in many years. I tested into honors choir once upon a time, but decided to stick with symphonic band.)

I'll have to look into it. It would be good to make music again. 🥰
