@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN "secret asian man" was actually what I first thought that song said :/
Morning Cat Haiku:
Mother. Feed us. Mo
ther. Feed us. We are fur and
bone. Mother. Feed us.
@Marlowe2 I must admit half the reason I followed @Marlowe2 was in hopes that she would post bad takes on things so I could say to myself "What the hell does Marlowe know?" #deadmendontwearplaid
Alternate reality Star Trek plot: Khan captures the Reliant, and instead of jumping right to baiting Kirk like a moron, he shows up at Regula I and takes Genesis using a believable excuse to come aboard instead of alerting the scientists, and uses genesis to destroy all life on some planet, using a bunch of mind control critters to control their space stations/vessels, all before baiting Kirk.
SCOTUS, in Arellano v. McDonough: "Equitable tolling is a presumption we're allowed to find in statutes that don't use the words 'equitable' or 'tolling,' but we can't do that here because Congress used lots and lots of words in this statute that aren't the words 'equitable' or 'tolling'."
SCOTUS in Castle Rock v. Gonzalez: "When the Colorado state legislature used the word 'shall,' they didn't mean 'shall.'"
This court, I f*cking swear.
@vieuxnez In this case, my fear is that both of those things will be true at the same time.
Which is indeed an exceptional legal feat, just exceptional...in the wrong direction.
