I hope I sleep tonight lol 🥱 past two nights I've stayed up way too late lol (my fault)

I used to be able to sleep late on days I was up late but sometime in the last decade I wake at 6am like clockwork.

Seems to happen to aging folks like me lol m8m gets up at 4 or 5am.

I'm sure there is a reason for this.

My son's case is nearly to the end

He will go to 30 days residential in the place up north, the one the drug court uses and they have visited. It's really nice.

So sentencing will be delayed once again until 30 days is completed. Then sentencing for the "suppressor" charge (he took ownership and plead guilty) < it can be expunged in 5 years

The drug charge will drop upon completion of drug court (15 mos i think)

BTW DRUG COURT IS REALLY GREAT. I'll post more later. But in general 👇

Narcissist update

Finally got some public data on his hearings.

Nutshell:

He's demanding a jury trishackled. Filing nuisance motions
(Like Narcissists do)
He loaths cops/judicial
Sees it as a challenge "to beat them"

Pretrial hearing is August 2nd

If he tries to drag my son into this, I'll reach out to the prosecutor to share our story.

His judge is my son's judge. Good judge but I want to avoid bumping into him.

He's still in jail. My son said he would be ok seeing him in shackles lol

BTW my mom at 88 (vax/boost) w/congestive heart failure & on oxygen got through covid last November just fine.

FAMILY changes.

Remember my sort of adopted daughter and her son (now 2yrs)

They moved back in to my house this weekend. I had 1 room left (the weight room) we needed to clear all that old gym stuff anyway

She's in the room across from mom's door. She works in assisted living but she is also getting hospice certification. She will be available for mom if needed

I'm so glad they moved in to my house. She and Roman were not in a good environment. Now she can save some money &stay above water 🩷

@equillink yeah. I did some research on cost and private insurance coverage but any way we sliced it up it was too expensive. Private insurance only covers 50% if that. (After 7500 out of pocket)

So to simplify things, we agreed to the place the court has experience and since my county has a duel diagnosis (example: addiction plus an additional mental health thing, like anxiety disorder, adhd, ptsd, etc)

In my county - with the dual diag, Medicaid will cover residential treatment.

It's like covid days again. Everyday is blurrsday and weekends only mean the stock market is closed lol

But I'm getting the hang of it. Regardless of financials, this was 💯 the right move. Navigating a lot, but there is a path peace for all of us. I need to be here and present to make sure we get there.

OK we are not going to go to the private insurance rehab (as nice as it is)

I checked out the one the court usually recommends. It has all the therapies. So we will get him on medicaid instead of private

I can't abide the price of the other. It seemed to ve geared towards executives and that might be weird for him.

@Irishroze ugh. If your mom is the caregiver to your dad (I'm so sorry) it is very common for the patient to lash out at caregiver. Tell mom not to take it personally. This happened to my mom when dad got cancer.

From a mindfulness understanding, your dad is suffering, loss of function of any type is traumatic. So suffering overflows to family in the form of lashing out.

MOM UPDATE

We saw the surgeon and we all agree that surgeries.Not really are good option due to anesthesia

She's triple negatives so there's no hormone treatment for it

The chemos out of the question cause her veins can't handle it and probably your heart too

But she open to targeted radiation. They come up regularly to administer treatment in my town. Which appeals to her.

So she told us what to look for (signs or spread or skin breakthrough) and have scheduled video follow up.

@stueytheround yeah we got to it in time. The rain has stopped. The water through the foundation has stopped. The immediate risk is over. We will call in a foundation guy to repair. But we have never received this much rain. This is the first time we had some leaking. 💙

She looks completely different to me. Unfortunately she sounds the same. Lol

The sump pump is to the top. Water is coming in from behind the fuse box. Water leaking from at least 1 bathroom fan. The sewer ejector pump appears to have stopped. We called for service. We will check the seals to the outside.
