We are pretty much at peace with moms cancer. At this time, she doesn't want treatment (I THINK the options are only surgery and radiation. She doesn't want to do either. The decision. Is hers but she is 89 and has been saying for a while that she's ready. I'm at peace with whatever she decides.

Also the the spiritual epiphany I had 2 years ago through deep meditation was life changing. I now fully believe we don't just end. There's more, much more. 💙

There have been some interesting synchronicities lately.

That started March when I got laid off and was guided by intuition to get out of the corporate grind.

I can now be present in every moment. #mindfulness has saved my sanity, improved reactions, grief processing, communications, decisions, etc.

Between mom & son, we have some serious issues. I am grateful 🙏 for the mindfulness practices I've incorporated into my life. 🧘‍♀️🔆🙏🤍

And I'm grateful I was laid off. 🧘‍♀️🙏🔆🤍

@Minholkin morning Min! I have to go back to bed tho. Shit sleep for 3 days and had to take my son to ER last night as he has a significant ptsd/trauma reaction. I'm so exhausted. But all is well. 💛

@CherNohio most of her assets are liquid. She has a few stocks (literally she holds the stock certificats) so my name is now included on those. Yes we can handle the cap gains.

She moved in my place mid 2019. Her house sold in 2020. Pretty sure the only hard asset is her car which she no longer drives. For simplicity we might just arrange to sell to me.

@CherNohio I plan on it. We (Husband and I) don't have a will or trust at this time. This process will encourage us to get that done asap.

For breast cancer scares: I have had multiple biopsies. One for just a few white flecks on mammo, nothing on sono. I worried needlessly. But u still have to biopsy, just in case.

My films never looked anything like mom's. So i conclude The ABSENCE of black fuzzy/felted masses on sono is a good sign if you are worried. Mammo = 2 white spiky masses connected by arms

@Shenango_Linda this was before covid right. For better or worse, Covid really highlighted the usefulness of FaceTime. 😔❤️

I'd would be a mess if I hadn't incorporated mindfulness into my daily life. That really helps with the fear and anxiety. The spiritual epiphany I had in 2022 knocked my understanding of God, death, universe and our specific purpose on this earth. This faith helps enormously with grief.

So after we have treatment plan - we will pull out the will, financials, stocks and address other wishes.

She has a living trust and my name is on it. I gotta google this because obviously want a small as possible tax burden. So hope that helps

Does anyone know if my name is on the trust (I'm the executer) does that mean I can take funds from the trust (to invest) without taxes?

Mom and I are being very pragmatic. After results and whatever treatment options, she will decide I'd she wants treatment or transition to end of life treatment.

If hospice is needed, we will do it here since she has a separate full apartment in my basement, it won't be a crowded space.

So pragmatic planning is really helpful to both of us (it works for us, at least) the mindfulness ALSO taught me how to analyze w/emotion << KEY

The collapse of the medical system thankfully did not happen. NY got the closest imo. (Haven't looked at post covid data)

So with mom's cancer - I have not researched types of breast cancers yet. MINDFULNESS (started 2 yrs ago) has enabled me to cope in much the same way except w/o the anxiety and hyperintensity.

It also tells me to research after the test results so i can focus on the results as opposed to "what if"

Most of you know I'm kind of a nerd.

One of ways I cope with medical emergencies - such as moms heart aliments, cancer, my son's issues and also during the start of covid.

With covid. I posted simple logical facts in a completely non-partisan way. Asking folks to Google local population and how many beds in your local hospital
(It's usually about 1% of the population) so it was the systemic collapse of hospitals that worried the medical ppl.

I called a local florist and discussed me picking up a bouquet every 2 weeks. We cam leave our vases there to be filled. We will likely get a few with vases because we need more.

Speaking of Father's, Gordon Ramsey had a SERIOUS father's day message.

He was involved in a serious bike accident late last week. He's ok. Nothing major but he was in hospital for a bit, I assume to monitor internal bleeding because he appears to have a massive abdominal bleeding. There is a pic of his bruise in the below article. He also posted before and after pics of his helmet in instagram.
