I believe, in reality, trump is down 10-15 points. But, that doesn’t benefit the pollsters and pundits 🤷♂️

I honestly don’t understand why “pollster” is still a profession.
I live in a deeply red but diverse GA county. The kids, women, and minorities aren’t voting for trump. He may have gained a few hundred voters in the 25-40 age group, but that’s it. He’s even lost half of the 65+ voters he had in ‘20. Veterans are a hard NO.
It won’t. My county will still vote the gop line but refuse to vote for trump. Like you, I hope Dems can keep the senate and take the House but it’s unlikely.
Further, I don’t believe our duopoly wants full control.
If you’re a party with veto-proof majority, YOU, and you ALONE, are accountable.
Nothing scares a politician more than the notion that they’re going to be held accountable. They’ll do anything to avoid it, including yielding power.
